palm pre is infinitly more customizable than the iphone. WebOS is open source so you can customize it as much as you want with preware and is SUPER easy.
iPhone is the ultimate palm pre killer!!

Keep in mind that this month, the Pre will gain Adobe Flash support for it’s browser. I don’t know if this is important to some users, but will definitely help tip the scale a bit more in favor of Palms already strong browser.
WebOS truly is impressive all around. It’s pretty new too, so given some time and a lot of it’s issues will be ironed out.

Well for any phone to be an “iphone killer” it has to basically be twice as good as the iphone 3GS in every way. The Palm Pre and Droid have some nice things about them and they have closed the gap on the iphone but since the iPhone was first to market and still dominate the market, it is going to take an incredible breakthrough device to overtake the iPhone. So far these other phones are just trying to be copycats of the iPhone and these phone makers must realize they can’t win this way.

I wish Palm would just license out WebOS to other companies to make phones. I really like how WebOS handles notifications and multitasking but it’s being hindered and limited by Palm themselves. Who wouldn’t love to see it on a phone like the HTC HD2?
