iPad from Lenovo Offers MUCH more than Apple’s

Thinking about buying an ipad from Apple? Think again. Lenovo’s amazing new “Ideapad” delivers all the same functionality, but has the unique ability to double as a full computer – with keyboard! revision3.com Looking for a tablet that doubles as a real computer? Lenovo released another Apple itablet killer at CES 2010, the S10-3t. The new gadget runs Windows 7 and twists to turn into a tablet, or a clamshell laptop. Built around Intel’s brand new Atom N470, it has enough power to run videos and most mainstream programs. And with the first multi-touch capacative screen on the Windows platform, it’s a great touch computer as well. You can pick it up for $4500, when it ships later in January. ———————————— See all the videos on the Tekzilla CES 2010 playlist. youtube.com Tekzilla on Twitter twitter.com Jim Louderback on Twitter twitter.com

stack two iPads, dual touch+twist screen tablet pc, have them run like some hardcore gaming laptop, run win7, rugged like a diamond, battery runs for days, isn’t that what everyone wants anyways? performance, style, price, now pick 2 of them. . . g’luck
They do not see the answer is only half as good as Apple iPad is that video, and obviously his wà ¼ rde, as it became slow wà ¼ rde a new place, after you use a few things à ¼ ber him and after 6-Monats-Durchschnitt mà ¶ chten, install
>No, not at all. I use Windows every day. What I am saying is that the IPad OS is better suited to the capabilities of the hardware. While the Lenovo tries to run an OS that is too powerful and ends up producing a horrible experience.
^ THIS!
Why is it SO damn hard for most people to grasp this simple concept?
Look, it’s still an Atom! Please come back when you have a dual core on this thing, (and hopefully a spiffier Intel graphics or better, ION!) or it’s still as much of a failure as the Asus T91. All we’re seeing is yet another netbook with a touchscreen. That’s so “EeePC 701 with a touchscreen kit”. Haven’t they milked enough out of the low power processor concept yet? All they can think of now is “multi touch” on Windows? Gimme a break. I don’t want an iPad but I don’t need this crap either.
oh man whut a shit! a normal laptop now!
@wingnutstudios I are like apple 2. Tey r teh bestest,
verbessertdas and d' other things, c' is like a valid numéro
Oh, I read the sidebar. It says $4500 on the sidebar.
he said $500, not $4500
$4500? A little out of my price range at that. And it doesn’t even have 3g!
. . .
I’m betting it’s $450. I’ll get it when it’s $300, and sell my Mini 10 that I have now, I guess. I’ll miss the extra screen space [1366x768], though. Sigh, tradeoffs.
Flash is the devil, à l' exception of Video Flash I am OK with ça.
No, not at all. I use Windows every day. What I am saying is that the IPad OS is better suited to the capabilities of the hardware. While the Lenovo tries to run an OS that is too powerful and ends up producing a horrible experience.
Therefore, reason of l' IPAD is " more rapide" that slates d' others, parce qu' they say qu' it n' do not use Windows. To take care à what means that the matériel is quite as poor as people says that you have simply décidé à Windows 7 instead of wind? Would not be it better d' to arrive on a slate décent and to beat the système d' mac exploitation on it?
Just not as good as a normal or a list. . say, a netbook, he decided to turn in his inaugural speech.
Tablets aren’t a new category, just because apple made one doesn’t make it new =/
iPads awesome. All Apple products are awesome. Nobody start giving me crap about how Apple is the best
Microsoft and Google don’t make profit out of flash apps either, but they still support it. basically Apple are trying stranglehold the market they dominate by locking people into their bundled applications, something Microsoft had previously been sued for. It’s blatant double standards.
The ipad miss Windows for sure. . . They dont want to put windows inside in order to sell their fucking apps.
Flash apps are also forbidden by Apple. . .
Apple does not make a profit on the Flash Anwendungen.Ich is correct it you gonna get Apple probably has not released europe ¤ Ischen too bad. I wà ¼ rde gladly know where and fà ¼ r like a lot I can buy the WiFi 16GB version.
You’re right not every website uses flash player, not every website has rich media content. But most of those that do use flash.
Apple not supporting Flash has nothing to do with it declining in popularity, it’s because it’s a developer platform which will allow people to develop outside the iPhone SDK, which would allow people to use apps outside the App store.
There is a reason why the IPAD is so much faster than Windows 7 meter parts are not bloatware. And that’s the stupid flash banners for stealing cycles and processes background do anything useful. If you are sure of multitasking by all means need a 7 Windows Tablet, if you must use the IPAD speed.
The software isn’t a failure. you might not like it but everyone thinks the software works great.
Not every website uses flash player, flash player is an old technique started in 1995, still buggy and laggy.
It’s not meant to be a netbook replacement, it’s a ‘whole new category’ according to Apple.
$220 are just the materials, without the huge amounts of money needed to develop this thing in the past few years.
Let’s talk again in one year.
agreed. . . when what ~98% of all computers have flash player i think it would tell them something about its importance but whatever. . . .
software. . . the software is a failure. . . . its a gd phone OS on a 10inch screen. . . an OS that doesnt have flash player (a must for anything that is going to be used mainly for internet browsing considering almost all sites use some flash encoding somewhere especially video sites such as hulu), it doesn’t have multitasking. . . which considering this is suppose to be a gd netbook replacement is just sad. . . and oh yea. . . it costs about $220 to make it and its selling for $500+. . . go ahead enjoy your fail
I absolutely hate that video. Jim Louderback is trying so hard to make the S10-3T look cool, but fails. It almost feels like:
1. He’s getting paid by Lenovo
2. He hates Apple
3. He wants to create buzz big time
Now the S10-3T is actually a good device but you have to optimize it. Since I own one I did create a blog with tips about it and you can check it out at http://www.lenovos103t.com I’m sure it can help a lot of S10-3T and netbook owners.
For those trying to decide which one is better between the iPad and the S10-3T well I also have another blog about it. Since they are different machines but they do cross over in certain functions I decided to break it down a lot. For those interested you can go to http://www.s103tvsipad.com I try to be fare and will get into software and specific tasks soon.
