LG and Samsung have had the touch screen/ multi-touch technology for a while now, much longer than Apple has. It’s just that the phones weren’t allowed into the US by the US Customs because Apple was paying the government so they could be the first to have it.
LG and Samsung did not patent it because they are not stupid and greedy like people here.
The multi-touch tech is patented under US, not other countries.

It’s an odd choice for a phone to be sure, but the ratio is really close to 2.35:1 cinema widescreen ratio. This screen is actually 2.33:1 in landscape mode. I wouldn’t have chosen this ratio, but I do see the reasoning I suppose.

the reason why most touchscreen phones released in the USA have no multi-touch right out of the box is because the iPhone has a pending US patent on it….sorry USA. If you want this phone you’re just gonna have to move somewhere else in the world….

LG New chocolate BL40 is an addition in the LG’s new series. It has TFT display and has a 256 color screen thus showing a very high quality picture. This handst is mostly used by professional and young people.
