How To: Install and Run Google Chrome OS in a Virtual Machine
07 Jan 2010 // 26 comments // Internet Development
On 11/19/2009, Google released the code behind Chrome OS. Dubbed Chromium OS, Google is essentially allowing you to test their operating system before the 2010 release date. Apparently, it’s been a little difficult to get this OS running straight from google’s code so I suggest downloading a pre-constructed image from gdgt: gdgt.com From their, just install in VMWare or Virtual Box and Enjoy! Yes
when u log in, do u press enter?
If you don’t have the chrome os requirements, you wouldn’t be on youtube.
maybe once they make it more robust than the browser I have installed on my machine I’ll give it a look
I have two questions,
1. Can chrome os harm my computer if something goes wrong with it
2. Do I need the chrome os system requirements to do this
Thanks! I have never done this and I am a noobie =P
That’s not true. Both VMWare and Virtual Box support Windows.
I’m not sure, but just download Vmware fusion and use the demo. There is a youtube video saying the serial code.
I used Virtual machine but I can’t log in, so I’m downloading Vmware now.
Yeah, this doesn’t help if you want to install it on windows.
Sweet I’m gonna try this out! Thanks!
