. Why is this interesting? Unlike Blackberry OS & Windows Mobile, which are based on entirely different frameworks, the framework of Android & WebOS is JUST ABOUT the exact same thing. Both OS’s run a Linux core. Here are the articles I got some information from if you are interested. See below. Enjoy the video.

If I may ask. Why do you guys stick to the feature phones? Especially considering your ads lately have been advertising for the business sector.
win /lose situation for us because when we get it nobody reall wants it or have already switched to get it so it sucks but thats are philosophy so we gotta deal with it and were looking forward to the calgary were making alot of adjustments to the android platform so who knows bout that phone so far
hey i was just listening to your vid and you have a good point between webos and google(android) but me peticular i use the pre i love web os but there are alot of thins they can do to make it better like the things i hate android has the things i hate of android are on the pre so its a win win situation. Now i work for verizon and were really really big on feature phones and when it comes to pda/smartphones we kinda stay back and see how they do on the market first till we get them which is a
I’m not a fan of Windows Mobile in the slightest. I’m leaning towards Android based phones. I was considering the iPhone for some time, but AT&T is royally messing it up. The Blackberry Storm was also an option for a while until I got my hands on one and decided against it. The Calgary looks very interesting, but I think I’m going to pass on the Pre, as Palm has lost favor with me lately.
Windows Mobile holds its own if you need it for the enterprise market, but otherwise I’d go with anything but. Let’s see what happens when the Calgary comes out, as well as the Pre. To me, anything Linuxbased has already won my heart.
Absolutely. My contract with Verizon ends this month, so I’m seriously in the market looking for a good smart-phone. Any advice is appreciated.
Oh, and thanks for the info.
Thanks for the input.
The Calgary is coming to Verizon and the Pre is also coming to Verizon so I think this will be an interesting comparison period.
Android is the mobile device operating system launched by Google as a fully open source project. Anyone can download and modify it as they see fit for their Android device (any mobile device able to run Android).
My friend owns the G1. You can multi-task. You can push programs to the background and launch others, then transition smoothly between running applications. Also, I think the ability to customize your interface could be a boon to the vision impaired, as advocates can help build a better interface more suited to vision impaired navigation.
OPS, I meant WiMax, GSM already is in canada.
My bad lol
GSM and WiMax, I wonder when canada will be getting it…
I’d be excited to find out!
Android OS compatible device.
HTC, G1, etc.
Verizon=LTE Game over for other carriers.
You are aware that crippling of the devices is a thing of the past. VZW no longer does that.
I’d say so. They seem to love locking down devices.
Do you think that Verizon takes longer to get the phones is because they make changes to the form of the phone like disableing wifi on some phones, putting their own Verizons logos, and all that stuff.
Whats an Android device?

Hey; got the Rumor2 thing figured out, it IS what I am going to go with. That being said, Ifound out some nifty stuff on customization of the TTS; you can, technically speaking, write your own. Anyways, favorite line from this video, perfect inflection:
“So I can not confirm ANY of this!”
BEAutiful!
Android has muiltitasking. It can have 6 apps running at once. On the G1 if i hold down the Home button it brings up a task switcher.
