um.. yes. it can. root the android platorm, you can install your own build of android or whatever.
simlock is not a valid point as you need the code from your network. this happens to any phone, and is not a phone-specific trait.

anyone who wins in a hardware compit. go to phonegg(dot)com and u can compare a shit load of phones well i went there and vs. both phones and the droid won if u dont belive me go to it ur self this isnt spam by the way :p

I understand his point about the web, media, and apps, but I think Verizon is the only thing keeping me from getting the Iphone. The Droid is a nice phone and I think its for those people who just don’t want an Iphone and this is the next best thing. Its all for people who like the drag and drop thats cool too. I prefer that.
You are right there is no comparison. The IPhone has up to 32 GBs of app storage, the Droid can’t store apps in the SD card so it only has 256MBs of app storage. That means no IPhone like games or any complex apps. Game over chimps!
i just got the droid yesterday..with the update it fixes all that u said was wrong with the droid and it kills the iphone…my buddy has an i phone and there is no comparision.
